The following therapists offer therapy services in Middle Tennessee Schools.

Chris Moynihan

Social Worker

Chris Moynihan is a licensed Clinical Social Worker. Chris has counseled children and adolescents in a variety of settings for over 15 years. Chris has served as a counselor and supervisor in an adolescent crisis facility as well as a social worker and therapist in a number of special education settings. In addition Chris has taught life skills and provided vocational training to adolescents and young adults. Currently, along with his private practice Chris also serves as the clinical supervisor for a Special Day School in Nashville.

As a Clinical Social Worker and therapist who specializes in working with young people, the majority of Chris's work has been with those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, identity confusion, family conflict, and low self esteem. Many times, these individuals and families are experiencing such mental health challenges as Bi-polar, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, Depression, Anxiety Disorders and Asperger's (high functioning Autism). Chris's practice builds on the concepts and techniques of CBT, ACT, and MI; assisting individuals in developing a healthy approach to their mental health. Chris's work focuses on emotional expression, coping strategies, communication skills, social skills and understanding and defining a sense of self.

Chris received his Bachelors degree from the University of Southern Maine in 2004 and his Master Degree from the University of Tennessee in 2010.
